360 V8 Engine, 4 Speed Manual Transmission, the merger of Nash-Kelvinator Corp. and Hudson to American Motor Corporation AMC happened in 1954 and became the largest corporate merger in United States history at the time. The AMX was introduced to the public on 24 February 1968, five months after the Javelin and other 1968 AMC cars. In January 1968, two specially prepared AMXs set 106 world speed and endurance records at Goodyear's track in Texas driven by world land speed record holder Craig Breedlove, his wife Lee, and Ron Dykes. This is a 1973 AMC / AMX Javelin with 1972 taillight assembly. Pierre Cardon interior (yes was only available in 1972 and 1973) but this is Pierre Cardon interior. 360 engine "Go" package cowl- induction hood. Close ratio Borg-Warner Super T-10 four- speed Hurst linkage and shifter. Older Driver Quality Yellow Paint. Rare Pierre Cardon Interior with stripes throughout including on the headliner.
