1980 Cadillac Fleetwood

Listing Description
1980 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe A rare car, and it's RUST FREE! Cadillac only made 2300 Fleetwood coupes in 1980. Fewer than 10% of all Cadillacs that year were diesels, and the vast majority of those were DeVilles. This is a rust free car from Florida. I have owned it for 11 years and I bought it from the man who had brought it up from Florida only a few months earlier. It has been garaged ever since. There is surface rust on the frame and exhaust from sitting on a cement floor for a decade, but the body is very clean. There is a credit card size dent in the drivers door and some distortion around the passenger door mirror mount where the mirror must have been knocked off (I have a nice replacement mirror). There is also a minor impact to the stainless trim on the bottom of the right quarter panel (I have the replacement trim). The headliner was completely missing when I bought the car, but a few years later I bought another Fleetwood coupe (that was rusty) and stripped it. I have a restorable headliner for this car and also duplicates of most all the exterior trim, a complete dash, and the coupe-specific glass for this car. The car runs and drives, but I believe the engine may have a head gasket out which was a common problem with these when they were new. With the current gasket technology and much stronger ARP head bolts this problem with these engines can be easily, and permanently corrected now. It also needs the bumper fillers replaced like they all do. So, While it needs quite a bit of work to make it a show car, you won't be looking for parts, and the work is straight forward - no rust repairs.Doors: 2
