1956 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 ton pickup. This truck is in very good shape and runs and drives great. The frame and suspension is rot free and the body is very solid. Cab corners were rotted and the previous owner did some less than perfect rot repair but the truck is great to drive around without worrying about. This is an original 3/4 ton dually stake bed, which means it has a beefier, long bed frame vs. the more common 3100. It is a 235ci straight 6 mated to a 4 speed with a 1 ton 4.56 rear end. The rear end only allows for ~50 mph comfortably. The good: NEW rear springs AND bushings (not just bushings) NEW front shocks NEW front spring bushings (bushings only) NEW door latches NEW door strikers NEW electric wiper motor (huge improvement over the stock vacuum unit) NEW front bumper NEW grille NEW headlight trim NEW HEI distributor NEW gas tank and lines NEW AC Delco battery and cables Rust/rot free frame Recently replaced brake shoes Recently replaced tires Recently replaced bed wood Just pulled the head off to address a gasket, cleaned all gunk out and adjusted valves Solid body, there is definitely some rot that has been addressed but overall it's a solid truck The less than good: Speedo doesn't work (more than likely just needs a cable) Temperature gauge doesn't work True mileage unknown Rattle can paint job Brake master cylinder leaks and will need to be replaced, I was going to go boosted but it's tough to find one for manuals Some of the window gaskets need to be replaced Some of the wiring could use some attention, everything is solid but the PO did a less than perfect job. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please Call First and talk to a rep at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 -Showroom is by appointment only Please Call -If you would like a FREE Listing please visit our consignment page or CallDoors: 2
