Listing Description
1969 Chevy C20 long bed (8ft) fleetside truck, running (reliable) and driving smooth. This is a northwestern truck, originally form California, but spent most of its life in Oregon/Washington. Many of things I\'ve done with my own hands to get this truck up and running. We\'ll start off with cons, then move to pros. Cons: 2 holes in the floor board (no surprises there, it\'s from up north); ONE chrome heater know fell off while driving, It fell out the floor ultimately; The steering wheel is so original, it has been deteriorating in my hands as I drive, It\'s still there and fine though; It could use Poppy\'s Patina treatment.... or a whole new paint job; Truck is an original non-AC truck (originally built in Fremont, California); Signature power steering box is leaking slowly but surely; Mufflers have seen better days!!!! Pros: Reliable, reliable, reliable. Bought this truck up in Portland, Oregon and drove it back after getting her running. EVERYTHING WORKS! All the lights (including side markers), heater, windshield wipers, and BRAKES! I regularly maintain and tune the 350 using a vacuum gauge and a timing light (12° BTDC & 19 In. HG @ 750rpm idle) She purs like a lion and runs like a bat outta hell. This is a list of things I\'ve done to get her where she is now: • Fresh rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet (with primary and secondary shaft bushings installed • New gas tank and sending unit (yes, gas gauge works perfectly), cleaned out hard lines • Exhaust manifold gaskets along with replacement passenger side ram horn exhaust manifold ( old one split in half, yes I still have it!!) • Rocker arms adjusted and preload set (March 2023) • Stainless steel rear brake hard lines with new brake shoes and wheel cylinders, along with new brake master cylinder (January/Feb 2022) • Sanded down by hand to return it to its original coloring (was all gray) • Alternator & P.S. belts replaced • New heater core and hoses, seals, and defroster tube for driversBody Style: PickupDoors: 2Fuel Type: GasDrive Type: RWD
