1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 which has undergone many,many new parts and labor since Feb. 2024. Car was wrecked in early 2000 and parked with extensive damages including a bent frame. A donor car provided a great frame.

Which that said the following has been replaced. All body rubber bushings to frame. All plumbing for brakes and fuel system. All brake components to include all rubber brake hoses metal lines thruout. New brake shoes (rivited).

Fuel tank cleaned. Gauge functions. New white wall tires. Nice spinner wheel covers. Factory ford skirts. New ball joints upper and lower, new center link, new inner and outer tie rod ends,new idler arm bushings, new coil springs front, new upper and lower control arm bushings.

Front end aligned. Currently manual steering car (ask for explanation)..new updated power brake booster with dual master cylinder set up. Engine is fresh rebuilt. New rings,mains,rod bearings. Have a new set of lifters to go with it..not yet installed.

Cruisomatic automatic trans..rebuilt. new battery. All lights work. Stops straight. Accessory rocker panel moldings. Front seat repairs have been made. Needs finished. Needs headliner and little bit of interior work.

Outer body panels inner quarters and rockers are solid rust free. Car was in a barn for many years thus critters got to the carpet. With that said..Car does need attention regarding floor pans..to be done correctly, three of the four need some work.

I have made patches but those are NOT CORRECT AND ARE TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS. This car can be driven NOW.. it is tagged and insured. I've always had a soft spot for the Galaxie 500. It doesn't get the same magazine coverage as a Boss 429 Mustang or a 427 Cobra, but a documented 427 Galaxie is a more significant piece of Ford performance history than most people realize. The NASCAR connection is real — Ford campaigned the Galaxie on superspeedways, and the street 427s that followed were barely detuned race engines. For the buyer who wants full-size American muscle with actual provenance, this is the car. Just understand what you're evaluating before the seller's enthusiasm does your thinking for you.

What to Check Before Buying

Common Issues

Trunk floor rust is the defining structural issue — water pools in rear trunk corners and deteriorates the floor from inside. Lower rear quarters deteriorate with it. Frame rust at the rear kick-up is a structural failure mode that requires a hoist to properly inspect. Door skin seam rust at the lower edges is cosmetic but frequently found. FE engine oil leaks are common — rear main seal, timing cover, and intake manifold gaskets are the usual sources. On 427 cars, engine identity fraud is a known problem — verify numbers before making any valuation decisions. Convertible top mechanism failures are common on unmaintained cars; hydraulic cylinder leaks are the most frequent issue. The FE engine cooling system requires correct hose routing and thermostat spec — overheating accelerates gasket failure on the higher-output engines.

What to Look For
