1957 Ford Thunderbird

1957 Ford Thunderbird Original -- RUST FREE Project/Parts Car. Originally THUNDERBIRD BRONZE /COLONIAL WHITE TOP W. BRONZE INTERIOR. BUILT 9 JAN 1957, 55TH CAR SCHEDULED ON THAT DAY, 312 V8, 4BBL, WITH DRESS UP KIT, FORDOMATIC TRANSMISSION. SAN JOSE DISTRIBUTION CENTER.  History: Originally delivered to San Jose, then relocated to Sacramento, where the prior owner purchased the car in 1983. Prior owner began the restoration at a professional shop where the car was stripped to bare metal and all rust removed and repaired. The car was coated with a primer/sealer at that time. The prior owner was unable to have the car completed so it remains in the present unfinished condition. Some of the parts have been restored while some still are in need of refurbishing. I purchased the car in 2015. Condition: As shown in the photos, the car is need of paint and assembly. The body is rust free and very straight for a car of this age. With the exception of the left front fender (which will require some metal work) only minor body work is required. Engine and transmission will need to be rebuilt. I have inventoried most of the parts. The vast majority of the parts appear to be included, but no guarantees. Some parts are new and in boxes. A noted exception is a missing windshield and back glass as well as the driver's side inside garnish molding. These parts are easily obtainable.
