1957 Ford Thunderbird

1957 Ford Thunderbird 'E Bird'. This is truly a pretty rare. Out of 21,380 T-Birds produced on 1957, only 1,363 were 'E Birds' and out of those, only 175 of these cars came with a 3 speed manual transmission with Overdrive! This is one of those T-Birds! This three owner, numbers matching, highly optioned T-Bird has had a total 'frame on' restoration performed back in 2008. The motor and trans were removed and gone through and inspected for wear. The body was stripped down to bare metal and finished with it's original Colonial White color. All body panels are original! There is no bondo on this car anywhere. The chrome, glass and trim are in excellent, like new condition. The hardtop, soft top, and the cock pit cover are all in excellent condition. The interior is all original except for new carpet and a new, N.O.S. dash pad. The instrument panel trim, bezels and gauges all look excellent. All gauges work except for the clock. The original seats are in great shape with no tears or seam separation. The power windows operate flawlessly. Mechanically, this car needs absolutely nothing! The A/C was added several years ago and blows ice cold. All heater/defroster and blower controls work as they should with no issues. It has power steering and power drum brakes. It had new correct springs and shocks installed one year ago. The generator was changed over to an alternator as well. It's ready to be driven anywhere and enjoyed.
