1958 Ford Thunderbird \r\nThe first year of the classic Bird with a back seat. \r\nLuxury car that sold over 200,000 in the three years of production of the square Bird. Motor Trend car of the year in 1958. And equipped with a big block V8 352 cu. in. 300 HP interceptor engine with 3 speed automatic transmission.\r\n\r\nThis car was purchased from an estate and over the course of several months of restoration brought back to life and ready for cruising.\r\nMotor and transmission rebuilt, new gas tank, new brakes and lines, power steering rebuilt, master cylinder and power brakes, new eclectic windshield wipers, new shocks, voltage regulator and solenoid, ignition and light switch, radio refurbished with new speaker and antennae, new interior (seats, headliner, carpet, padded dash, sun visors and door panels. Sound proofing replaced with modern foil sound and heat insulation in roof and floors. New white wall tires and original wheel covers. Trunk carpeted with original bumper jack and lug wrench. Equipped with spare tire and fuzzy dice.\r\nAll chrome is original and in excellent condition as well as glass like the factory-tinted windshield. \r\nEverything works with exception of fuel/ temp gauge.\r\nFuel and heat sensors replaced but have gauges for replacement. \r\nPaint was done two years ago and a slight ding on passenger side door. I would rate the paint two or three footer.\r\nI have some extra parts but this car needs nothing except an owner.\r\nI must point out that these cars are a luxury sports car and not a limo. It is smaller than conventional sedans of the area and if you are over 6 foot and consumed a lot of beer you might find this car a bit cozy. I am over 6 foot and moved the adjustable seat back a few inches and is just right for me.\r\nThis car sits on a uni-body construction with coil spring front and back and rides like a dream.
