Listing Description
1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. Here is the second jewel of my old friend's T-Bird Collection. The famous astronaut and pilot Chuck Yeager road in this car in an Indianapolis 500 parade! (see picture) It was built in the Wixom, MI. plant then went to Boston, Mass. From there it spent most of her life in North Carolina where it had a complete frame on restoration. The roadster cover was added at that time. It's traveled 24,971 miles since it was restored. It retains the original numbers matching drive train. The Z code 390 cu. in. 4V along with the Cruise-O Matic transmission. The paint was refinished in its original Rangoon Red with black interior and black convertible top. The paint, glass, chrome and trim are a 9.5 out of 10. Like his '57 T-Bird, this one is near perfect as well. The interior is like new with only one very small crack in the top of the dash pad. It has P.S, PB, Power Windows and the top is power as well. Everything works on this car, even the original sequential tail lights! It sports a set of new and correct, dual stripe bias ply tires. A set of 4, almost new radial tires and steal wheels also is included in the sale. This car is like new in every way and has been well maintained her whole life.Trim: ConvertibleDoors: 2
