1968 Jaguar E-Type XKE Coupe For Sale Strong running 6 cylinder 4.2 L engine 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly This Matching numbers, Heritage Certificate holding E Type is a very early series 1.5 coupe (actually the 71st one produced by its VIN #) which means it has all the most desirable features of a series 1 car except for the covered headlights. This car is fitted with original toggle switch dashboard, series 1 style seats, triple SU carbureted 4.2 L engine, coolant header tank, and of course the most desirable bumpers and lights of all of the E-Types. The car was fully professionally restored in Canada in 2017 and was offered for sale by Sotheby's in their 2018 Ft. Lauderdale auction with an estimated value of $90-$120,000. The restoration included complete professional paint and body work, new interior including headliner, interior panels, door panels, new seat leathers and foams, new carpet set, new Dash top, all the chrome was re-plated or replaced, and much more.
