Listing Description
1964 Lincoln Continental Sedan. This is an extremely good original car, and I even have the original sales order and sales receipt! I am the 2nd registered owner. It received a major overhaul over the last few years to freshen up the original mechanicals. I have receipts for the work. This was not a restoration to look new, but rather a very sympathetic therapy to preserve the original car. It runs and drives very well, and the original mechanical components have been thoroughly and properly rebuilt: Engine: Dismantled, cleaned, fresh gaskets and seals, valves adjusted anything that required replacing was replaced. Carb rebuilt. Water pump rebuilt, all other accessories inspected and repaired if needed. The engine compartment is very neat and clean, but if I keep it I'm going to repaint the valve covers, air cleaner and header tank and then add the reproduction Lincoln stickers. Brakes and suspension: Completely overhauled. Wheels cleaned and repainted. Exhaust: New and correct Electrical: Clock and radio rebuilt. Nearly everything works, but I have not gotten around to the RR window, the antennae acts up and the power front seat drags. HVAC: The compressor was inspected too and all of the lines, condenser etc.. are installed, but I have not had the A/C charged. No reason. I just have not gotten around to it. Interior: 100% original 1964. The headliner is fantastic. The dash is fantastic. Carpet is nice. Door panels are all very nice with the exception of a damaged area the upper rear corner of the LR door. You do not notice this from the interior when the door is closed. The seats are very nice. They are the original leather with Lincoln logo cloth inserts. There is a tear in the cloth on the drivers section and a 2' cut on the top of the driver's seat. Body: Fantastic and straight and always has been. During the repaint new sheetmetal lips about 1' tall were fabbed and welded into the back edges of the rear fender lips and lower inch of the quarter lips. TDoors: 4
