1951 Mercury Eight

1951 Mercury Convertible Offered by master craftsman with over 70 years experience. Yes you read that right. Complete frame off restoration, rebuilt flathead V8 with a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. Everything mechanical has either been replaced or rebuilt. including the undercarriage. Frame, suspension and rear end assembly has been sandblasted and painted with por 15 paint and shines like the exterior. Ignition has been upgraded to a 12V system, radiator has been upgraded to larger aluminum, and air conditioning added for summer comfort. Power window, and convertible top lines replaced with stainless steel lines and new rubber hoses. Hydraulic motor has been rebuilt for top and windows. Exterior is painted red with a base coat clear coat. A new custom interior of black vinyl and white leather has been added including the trunk area The top mechanism has been repaired and chromed, all cylinders (top and door) are new. This is a top to bottom restoration, no dents, dings scratches or rust. A true museum collectable, but driven monthly to local car shows and always takes home the prize.
