1967 MG MGB

1967 MGB GT Rare opportunity to acquire a truly unique early GT in pristine mechanical and cosmetic condition. Owned and lovingly restored by the former product development manager. Originally acquired In 1978 as a fine low mileage southern Ca, example, the car was a daily driver until the late 80’s when a comprehensive bare metal respray was undertaken in the original old English white. The car is 100% rust free and paint is very nearly flawless. Virtually 100% of the chrome and alloy trim were replaced by genuine new old stock parts. The interior was completely restored with the finest UK sourced late spec leather seats, and done to a vintage style. The original steel dash was shipped to the UK to be painted in black wrinkle finish by the original contractor to MG! UK spec NOS retractable seat belts are fitted. New Triplex windshield and all new NOS seals were fitted. Original BMC radio fitted, non operational due to conversion to negative ground. NOS 1967/68 Florida license plate is included and can be used if registered in Fl. The engine was fully rebuilt in the UK with a full complement of upgraded specs, including a 1950 cc overbore with forged alloy pistons. The head is fully ported and polished and upgraded to run on lead free petrol (gas to us Yanks). Engine bay is bog stock standard but fitted with Pertronix ignition under the original Lucas distributor. The original non-synchro first gear box was fully rebuilt and fitted with a complete original NOS overdrive. New 72 spoke wheels and recent tires fitted in 2015.
