1964 Volkswagen Beetle

1964 Volkswagen *VW* Beetle. This car has a lot of history in the past year. I bought it last January in San Jose California. It's been a Cali car all its life. I bought it and drove it across the country. Broke down along the way actually blew up our motor. But we knew people in Ohio who had another motor so we did a motor swap there and kept going. We got back when the Eagles won the super bowl and I'm a huge eagle fan. Anyway, this car has seen almost everything. It's got a lot of new parts. It's seen 4 motors. I actually just put an original year motor in, 1200cc 40 horse motor in. Runs absolutely great with the trans! 35 to 40 mpg believe it or not! I've taken it about 2 hours away and it's done great! Brand new clutch kit installed, leaks a little oil like every VW, has a little rust but nothing major, paint is an older paint job but I just got it detailed and it made the car pop! Rust on front bumper but it's not an original bumper so that's why, back bumper is original and in great shape. I have pop out back windows for it, not installed though and they go for about 300 dollars. Interior is in great shape with a couple flaws but nothing that can't be fixed. All around a clean and really fun car to drive around! So many looks and honks from people. Does not come with the roof rack though! If interested in the rack, that'll be another 300 since it's an original rack. These cars are getting harder and harder to find especially an nice 1964 bug like this one.
