Listing Description
1973 Volkswagen Thing Convertible. What has not been restored is this THING'S body, the paint is is still shiny on the THING but it has its shares of dings and scratches. But there isn't much rust on it and that makes this THING a better THING than any THING that is all rusted. One THING that makes this THING rare is it has a fiberglass hardtop. Put a fresh paint job on it and removed the windows to give it that open air effect. The windows can be added and the rubber seals to put them back on the THING are included. The top is light weight and can be lifted off easily. This THING also has a roll bar that provides the occupants of the THING a safer ride than a THING without one. The interior on the THING is in great shape and all the gauges and lights work as they should on the THING. This THING does not have a folding soft top. The THING does come with its original side curtain windows but they will need to be restored before you put them on this THING because the THING is, is that the once clear plastic windows are now as far from clear as the THINGS can get. The THING to consider about the top and windows is that I have owned four of these THINGS and have never driven one yet in the rain on purpose. The darn THING is a four door convertible for Pete's sake (who is Pete?); wind in the hair, sun in your face, everyone waving and giving thumbs up to you in your THING. The open air hardtop does the same THING except for the sun in your face part.
