1966 Chevrolet Chevelle

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. This is an original 283/2-speed Poweglide car that has been replaced with a rebuilt 454 backed up to a TH400. The carburetor is a brand new Quick Fuel 735 cfm with electric choke. Iowa Muffler and Brake installed the 3-inch custom bent 3-inch stainless exhaust and ceramic coated full length headers. Mufflers are Flowmaster Super 44s and it sounds exactly like a big block muscle car should sound. Power steering was added this year. The cooling system was also completely replaced a couple weeks ago with a new radiator and stainless steel lines. The car just completed the 200+ mile Midcoast Road Rally and ran without issue at 190 degrees all day! The suspension has been completely re-done with a full Moog rebuild kit, KBC gas shocks and Eibach pro-kit lowering springs. The wheels are Showwheels Streeters (18x8 in front, 18x9) in the rear. Tires have less than 2000 miles on them (225 front, 275 rear). A 4-wheel disc brake conversion also replaces the original drum set up. It is a Right Stuff Detailing kit with chrome booster, drilled and slotted rotors, powder coated calipers and stainless lines. The trunk pan was replaced earlier this year and a new gas tank and stainless fuel lines were installed at that time. All seals have been replaced on the transmission and rear differential. The car has been rewired with an American Autowire update kit. Morris industries 3-Pt seatbelts have been added in the front and rear. I have all the original trim aside from the rocker panel pieces.
