1972 Jeep J-4000

1972 Jeep J-4000 3/4 ton 4x4 Camper Special with Custom Cab option which offers extra chrome trim throughout the body. This truck is also very well optioned with 360 V8, Automatic transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes and Air Conditioning. It\'s believed to be a 47,000 original mile truck. Thats what I was told….and look at the foot pedals. The original rubber just doesn’t look like 148,000 miles of wear to me. The truck was bought new in New Mexico, and has remained there until not long ago. So……extremely solid……NO rust through found anywhere. The truck will come on its original steel wheels, not 70’s slots mags. The original rims are 16.5 and I could not easily find a single tire to off load the truck off my trailer. But you can still buy 16.5 tires new. One of the old tires was dry rot and would not hold air. So I put the mags on the truck. The truck starts and sounds good running off an auxiliary tank. I didn’t trust running it off the original tank. The truck will need tires, fuel tank cleaned, likely a carburetor rebuild and brake work. I have a clear New Mexico title.
