Listing Description

1957 Mercury Montclair, 2 door hardtop. clean title in my name. Has the optional 368 Turnpike Cruiser engine. Very complete and straight car, all trim is in excellent condition. Except for one Turnpike Cruiser fender tag, all emblems are intact and in place. The car was originally Sunset Orchid and Classic White. White lower, orchid above the beltline, white roof. Last picture shows the correct original colors for the car, obviously it's not this car. The interior is still the original black, white and grey with gold piping. There is some rust in the middle of the driver's rocker that appears to have been previously repaired. There is also some rust in the front fenders around the headlights but I have patch panels for the underside of the headlight surround. The windshield and driver's side window are broken but intact. Both are available from multiple sources on eBay or online. All 4 windows do roll up and down. I did get the engine halfway running before pulling the carburetor. It's a Carter WCFB and is missing the accelerator pump jet assembly. I already bought a rebuild kit and secondary diaphragm. The car has the Bendix Treadle-Vac power brake system and I don't know if it works or not. These can be rebuilt by numerous companies online or replaced with a modern power brake setup. Overall this would be a great start for a restoration. It's a very complete and solid car. Complete and not missing random hard to find parts. I also have some parts available for sale if you are interested. They are not included in the listed price. I have some replacement chrome trim, tail light chrome, replacement front park lights and a pair of NOS tail light lenses -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please Call First and talk to a rep at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 -Showroom is by appointment only Please Call -If you would like a FREE Listing please visit our consignment page or CallDoors: 2
