It was restored in 1995. It does not have perfect/flawless paint- It does have imperfections. That being said, the paint looks very good overall and is what I would call very nice driver quality paint. Body is solid with good floors, trunk etc. The car runs and drives good. I drive it quite a bit and have put about 2k miles on it in the last 2 years. It starts easy, runs cool and is very dependable. The wipers, lights, signals work fine. The speedo started sticking off and on this past weekend, I think the cable either needs lubed or replaced (we drove it quite a bit for the Holley Hot Rod Reunion here in Bowling Green). The gas gauge can be a bit sporadic too (I believe it's the ground). Tires are in excellent shape (Coker wide white wall radials). No reason you couldn't drive it to anywhere, but I'd probably trailer it to be safe (I drove it to Goodguys in Nashville about 2-3 wks ago). This isn't a freshly restored show car but is a cool driver that gets tons of attention. '58 Oldsmobiles are very rare and it always brings a lot of interest where ever I take it.
