1976 Pontiac Firebird

1976 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition Y82. This car only has 11k miles on it and still has original factory paint. It was purchased new from Colonial Pontiac in Miami, Florida by Debbie Gotlieb. She drove it for 6 months before her husband Richard took it to the track, Miami Hollywood Speedway, one Sunday morning. This was where they met the current owner. Richard wanted to know why my 1970 RamAir III G.T.O. was so fast 14.0 seconds at 102.00 MPH all stock and his 76 Trans Am was so slow 16.5 seconds at 88 MPH. Worked on their car and in a month we had it running 13.50 seconds at 102.00 MPH. Then a year layer 12.90 seconds at 105.00, then a year later 11.74 seconds at 115.00 for a long time. Debbie was an excellent bracket racer and won so much money with the car they paid it off and built another race car. “Debbie King” and the car was featured in High Performance Pontiac Magazine many times.. Soon after current owner got it, built a different engine combo and had the car running 10.30 seconds for 10 years, won many races, and had a great time. Then another engine combo running 9.70 seconds at 137.00 MPH. For years the car has had a brand new combination which is now 500 ci 800 h.d. engine that should run 9.40 seconds at 144.00 MPH. This car has the best parts in it that money could buy. It has steel full interior, tilt wheel P/s, P/b, Power windows, 3600 lbs steel. The car is not cut up or tubed, It could be put back to OEM stock specs if someone wanted to do so. This car is very special. It’s the only 50th anniversary original race car.
