Listing Description
1962 Pontiac Grand Prix powered by the legendary 389 Tri Power and Roto Hydromatic 3-speed transmission. This car was completely restored many years ago, shortly before being purchased and parked by a wealthy California collector/car hoarder, known to purchase exceptional examples, drive them home and then park them in one of five of his climate controlled warehouses. The 8-lug power drum brake system was completely overhauled with a rebuild of the original brake booster and master cylinder, new soft lines, wheel cylinders and resurfaced friction materials. Wheel and axle bearings were replaced and resealed. The rear end and driveshaft was serviced. Rubber bushings and ball joints addressed. The transmission was drained and a new pan gasket installed. The fuel lines had been disconnected and only the gas tank was contaminated with old gas and was replaced. The water pump and thermostat was replaced as well as hoses, belts and filters. The carbs were serviced and a new cap, rotor, wires and plugs were installed. Power steering fluid flushed and the oil changed. Fresh Hankook radials have been fitted to the iconic eight lug wheels. Runs out excellent, steers and stops straight. Accelerates and kicks down with authority. The big girl handles surprisingly well considering her 3850 pound mass. Overall this car is in excellent condition, everything works as it should and it of course looks fantastic. Have been sporting it around lately with the beauty rings removed from the wheels, giving it an all business profile. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please Call First and talk to a rep at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 -Showroom is by appointment only Please Call -If you would like a FREE Listing please visit our consignment page or CallDoors: 2
