1962 Triumph TR4 For Sale Strong running rebuilt 4 cylinder engine 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly A truly unique early TR4. Purchased from its long time owner in California. The car had recently received a complete, professional, documented engine rebuild including a new clutch, cored radiator, new water pump, new fuel pump, rebuilt generator and rebuilt SU carburetors. While in California the car had received a substantial refurbishment including new factory floor pans, inner sills, outer rockers and trunk floor. Being a California car the frame and undercarriage were in very good shape. The suspension was refurbished with new tire rods, ball joints, bushings and king pins. The brake system was gone through including master cylinder with pads and lines. Hushmat floor insulation was added as was a re-plumbed heater system and heater fan. The interior was refit with new Dash top, new lower crash pads and switch Plinth, new walnut Dash facia, new rear cockpit panels, new Robbins convertible top, and a Moto Lita wood-framed steering wheel. Custom aluminum billet mounts were fabricated to allow for the fitment of a nice pair of Mazda Miata seats which offer much greater support, comfort and more legroom in the cockpit, (a great upgrade!). The original seats are included with the sale as is the original banjo steering wheel. The car not only has the wheels as pictured fitted with nice radial tires but the sale includes the original wheels and hubcaps, in very good shape. Other thoughtful upgrades and recent work include spin on oil filter conversion, perTronics electronic ignition, New plugs, wires, cap and rotor, SU chrome air cleaners, chrome valve cover, Ansa exhaust system, new battery and tie down, braided stainless steel fuel and hydraulic lines, seatbelts, new weatherstripping for the doors, windows and trunk and more.
