Holsman's Classic Cars

Holsman's Classic Cars is a family-owned classic and collector car dealership in Kansas City, Missouri. Gale Holsman is listed as owner and president on the company's About page, which also names a service director, an inventory manager and a marketing director. The business says it brings more than 40 years of experience in classic cars, and it describes its inventory as selective rather than a lot filled with volume. It is an independent dealer and has no connection to Classic Cars Arena.

How the business works

Holsman's sells vehicles from its own stock rather than taking cars on consignment. The company says all vehicles are inspected and serviced before sale, that it keeps overhead low and passes savings on to buyers, and that it takes a no-pressure approach. Those are the dealer's own statements, so treat them as a starting point for your questions rather than as guarantees.

Its team page lists a service director who handles frame-off restorations and body work, which suggests some in-house capability. If a specific car has been restored or repainted, ask who did the work and request any documentation.

What Holsman's sells

The inventory seen on the dealer's site leans toward American muscle cars and Corvettes, with a few specialty vehicles mixed in. A recent snapshot showed a 1968 Pontiac Firebird, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 1952 MG Roadster, with several other Corvettes from different years. Asking prices in that snapshot ran from the high twenty thousands to nearly one hundred thousand dollars. Stock turns over, so check the current listings. The site also mentions boats and other collectible vehicles alongside classic cars. You can compare similar cars through classic cars for sale in Missouri before you call.

Buying from Holsman's

The company says financing is available for most situations and that it has shipped vehicles across the United States and internationally. It also says it will help source a particular vehicle if it is not in current inventory. The site does not spell out deposit terms, trade-in policy or whether it buys cars outright, so ask about those directly.

As with any dealer purchase, get the VIN, title status and service records up front, and consider an independent inspection, especially for a long-distance purchase. Our guide to buying a classic car from a dealer walks through the usual checks.

Reputation

Holsman's displays seven Google reviews on its own social reviews page, all five stars. Because that is fewer than ten reviews, no overall rating is quoted here. A separate Birdeye listing shows 4.7 stars from 14 reviews, and an AutosToday listing shows 5.0 from 10 reviews. We did not find a Better Business Bureau profile. Read recent reviews on several platforms and judge the specific car in front of you.
