Description
1966 Thunderbird with a 390 4BBL AVS2 Edelbrock carb. The paint is not perfect by any means. It has all new stainless steel exhaust, 2 New Magnaflow Mufflers installed in February. It has new Tires with about 600 miles installed 11/22.
I have all the paper work the original owner left with the Previous owner plus anything he or I have added to it. The car currently has bullet hubcaps, but I also have plastic wrapped the originals to keep them from getting scratched and dusty in storage. It did come with a new 3 Core Aluminum Radiator, installed 4/22 and New battery and Alternator installed 10/22.
I put the original Moon Crater Headliner back in, but it is starting to bubble but, no issues at all and is better than the foam I got. I put a new fuel sending unit in this car and now every gauge works, the radio turns on and antenna works but the speaker does not produce sound. I fixed the break booster vacuum and also installed new front breaks pads and Calipers.
Repainted and gasketed the valve covers as well as the Air Cleaner and installed a new 390 sticker as well as new rubber mats. I have put 1500 miles on the car in the past 5 months so it gets driven. Classic Ford Thunderbird Buyer's Guide
The Ford Thunderbird launched in 1955 as Ford's answer to the Chevrolet Corvette — a two-seat personal luxury convertible meant to position Ford as a maker of stylish, sporting cars. By 1958, Ford had pivoted the entire concept toward four-seat personal luxury, and the Thunderbird became the template for an entire genre of American automobiles. Across eight platform generations and 25 years of classic-era production (1955-1979), the Thunderbird represents one of the most varied collector markets in the American hobby — from the iconic two-seat "Baby Birds" to the personal-luxury "Square Birds," "Bullet Birds," and beyond. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before purchase across each major era.
