1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau in triple white. Beautiful ride with lots to offer in a stunning all white outfit! This is a real Q-code bird with a 428 big block! ’66 was the first year for the iconic engine. With a 4-bbl carb and 10.5-1 high compression, the big 8 made 345 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque.
With a 3-speed automatic transmission the T-bird moved from 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds. Considering the era, and just before the muscle craze came on in the late 60’s, this was an impressive performance figure! This T-bird still looks fair under the hood. Clearly the car has been well preserved.
Power brakes and power steering are expected on a personal luxury car, but even better is that this car was optioned with A/C and factory cruise control! Currently the a/c is not hooked up. The car is beautiful in person and the paint is high quality, and silky smooth to the touch. The white formal Landau vinyl roof is in excellent condition.
Hood turn signal indicators are a nice touch and the white wall tires and rear fender skirts bring a lot of class! Even better are the sequential rear turn signals which work perfectly and look sweet. Inside, the car is very highly equipped. Power side windows with separate power quarter vent windows, power locks, power driver’s seat, cruise control, tilt-away steering wheel, wipers with 6 speeds, factory 8-track player and AM radio with 4 stereo speakers make this one of the most highly optioned T-birds we’ve ever seen of this generation.
To top it off, there’s an overhead console with warning lights and switches too! The car is trimmed in white leather and the iconic rear seat wraps right round the corners just like a comfy leather, The center console also flows from the dash, down through the arm rest and all the way to the back seat- groundbreaking design for the 60s’. Again, the interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears in the seats and the carpets appear to be new. The wood grain ion the doors and dash are in great shape as well as the headliner.
The trunk area has the correct finishing, plus a spar tire and some other parts and pieces included. The car also runs and drives very well, but we are waiting on a fuel sender unit to be installed in the tank to get the fuel gauge working again. One beautiful big bird! 46,000 miles showing, but with only 5 digits, true milage is unknown.

Classic Ford Thunderbird Buyer's Guide
The Ford Thunderbird launched in 1955 as Ford's answer to the Chevrolet Corvette, a two-seat personal luxury convertible meant to position Ford as a maker of stylish, sporting cars. By 1958, Ford had pivoted the entire concept toward four-seat personal luxury, and the Thunderbird became the template for an entire genre of American automobiles. Across eight platform generations and 25 years of classic-era production (1955-1979), the Thunderbird represents one of the most varied collector markets in the American hobby, from the iconic two-seat "Baby Birds" to the personal-luxury "Square Birds," "Bullet Birds," and beyond. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before purchase across each major era.
