Description
1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser Head-turning 1977 Toyota FJ40 that makes a great weekend cruiser. The frame is rated 9/10 and is clean, solid, and structurally rust-free underneath. Powered by a 350 V8 short block with an upgraded intake manifold and carburetor, paired with a brand-new 3-speed transmission that is still under warranty.
The 4-wheel-drive system works perfectly, and the lifted stance is complemented by brand-new aggressive wheels and tires. The original Warn winch is also fully functional. The body has had rust cut out and repaired, then was finished in rattle-can gray.
It looks great from 10 feet and leaves room for future cosmetic bodywork if desired. Comes with the hardtop, rear ambulance doors, extra stock fenders, a set of 35-inch swamp tires and wheels, plus a large collection of original parts and extras. Runs strong, drives straight, and comes with a clean title in hand.

Classic Toyota Land Cruiser Buyer's Guide (FJ40 / FJ55 / FJ60 / FJ62)
I approached my first Toyota Land Cruiser the way I approach every potential project: with a flashlight, a screwdriver, and a healthy skepticism about anything the seller told me. What I found was a vehicle engineered to a standard of mechanical integrity I hadn't encountered before — overbuilt axles, a bulletproof inline-six, and a simplicity of design that made every system accessible and rebuildable. That first FJ40 taught me why United Nations field teams, Australian outback farmers, and California trail enthusiasts all converged on the same truck. The challenge isn't whether to buy one — it's buying the right one, at the right price, in a market that has moved sharply upward.
