This 1959 Austin-Healey Sprite Mark I represents genuine driver-focused engineering. An older restoration was comprehensively reimagined in July 2023 with over 40 hours of labor transforming the original 948cc engine into a potent 1275cc conversion sourced from a final-production 1969 MG. Output jumped from approximately 74 horsepower to around 150, backed by a rare Judson SP1 supercharger with Marvel Mystery oiler.

The drivetrain overhaul includes a 1275 clutch assembly, new Holley single-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition with Flamethrower coil and CDI multi-spark capability, and fresh steel fuel tank with electric pump. Chassis upgrades feature Pacesetter headers, upgraded 12-volt power disc brakes, adjustable shocks with neoprene bushings, and an aftermarket sway bar. Smiths heater system, new engine mounts, and 4-speed manual transmission round out this enthusiast build.
