This 1938 Chevrolet Special Deluxe two-door sedan street rod showcases serious mechanical engineering. The 355 cubic inch V8 features a forged, lined and honed crankshaft with four-bolt mains, forged flat-top pistons, and a block that's been align-bored, honed, and fitted with all studs. The engine runs a competition cam with 292 Magnum lifters, Manley stainless valves, Crane roller rockers, and triple-angle valve work.

A Quadra-Jet carburetor tuned to Brad Urban specifications feeds the engine through custom aluminized headers and exhaust. Electronic ignition with 29-degree advance and a Holley fuel pump with safety shutoff complete the package. The drivetrain pairs a 350 GM transmission with a Stage 3 Trans King rebuild and 2600 stall converter to a Camaro 12-bolt rear with 3.36 gears.

The chassis features 1976 AMC Pacer front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering, power disc brakes, and power steering. Rear suspension uses Firebird springs with VW air shocks and ladder bars.
