Rockwell's Muscle Cars & Classics

Rockwell's Muscle Cars and Classics is a muscle car and classic car business in Glenwood, Iowa, in the Loess Hills southeast of Omaha. Its website names the owners as Chris and Joyce, who describe themselves as collector enthusiasts, and lists the legal entity as Rockwells Midwest Motion LLC.

How the business works

The owners say they focus on finding and building quality muscle cars and classics of all makes, and that they keep a collection they are always expanding, selling or trading. Listings and directory descriptions also say the business offers sales, consignment, storage, service, repair and vehicle sourcing. That mix means some cars on the site are the owners' own stock, while others may be consigned. Ask which applies to a specific car, since terms and who holds the title can differ.

What they sell

The inventory leans toward American cars from the 1950s through the 1970s, with muscle cars, street rods and hot rods in the mix. The site also has a motorcycles section, a projects section, a page of sold vehicles and an "In the shop" page that shows work in progress. The company says it uses PPG paint finishes on its in-house restorations. The mix changes often, and the sold page is a useful way to see the kinds of cars that have moved through.

Selling or storing a car there

For owners, the business lists consignment and storage. If you are weighing it, read about consigning a classic first, then ask about the commission or fee, how long the agreement runs, who pays for insurance while the car is on the property, and when you get paid after a sale. Get all of it in writing. The same applies to storage: ask about climate control, security and what coverage the business carries.

The facility

The site describes an 8-acre property one mile south of Highway 34 on 221st Street South, about 30 minutes from the Omaha airport. A facility page documents construction in phases between 2012 and 2014, and the owners say they welcome visitors to tour the facility and see the collection. Buying from Rockwell's

The dealer does not publish financing or shipping terms that we could find, so ask about both. The owners promise honest and accurate descriptions of their cars. That is the company's own statement, so treat it as a starting point and still verify the VIN, title and condition yourself, ideally with an independent inspection if you are not local. Reputation

We did not find a Better Business Bureau profile or a review source with enough reviews to cite fairly, so we are not reporting a rating. The business has an active Facebook page and appears on other dealer marketplaces.
