West Port Auto Center

West Port Auto Center Inc. is a classic and collector car dealer at 1300 West Lark Industrial Parkway in Fenton, Missouri, in the St. Louis area. The Better Business Bureau lists Mark Rabenort as president. The company says it has "over 22 years experience in classic cars sales" and describes its service as running from its warehouse floor to your garage door.

How the business works

West Port buys and sells cars as a dealer, holding its own inventory instead of selling on consignment. Its site has a "Sell Your Car" page that invites owners to send photos and details to its buy team, receive an offer and sell the car directly to the dealership. The company pitches this as a way to avoid questions about safe payment, strangers visiting your home and title transfer.

What West Port sells

The dealer's online inventory leans toward American cars and trucks of the 1950s through the 1980s, with some newer muscle. Listings seen on its site and on ClassicCars.com have included a 1948 Ford Super Deluxe woody wagon, a 1970 Shelby GT500, a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner, a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado, a 1957 Chevrolet Cameo pickup, a 1962 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport, a 1978 Corvette and a 1971 Volkswagen Westfalia bus. Inventory turns over, so these are examples, not a current list. Its sell page also names categories such as Mustangs, restomods, muscle cars, modern muscle, classic cars and pickup trucks.

Buying from West Port

The website describes two services for out-of-town buyers. For financing, it points to third-party lenders, naming Woodside Credit, J.J. Best Banc and Co., and Collector Car Lending. Terms are set by those lenders, not by the dealer, so compare rates, down payment rules and age limits on the car before you apply. For shipping, it offers door-to-door vehicle transport and says it will send photos and a video of the car as it is loaded, along with transport details and driver information.

As with any dealer purchase, get the title status and VIN in writing, ask for extra photos or a walk-around video, and consider an independent inspection. Our guide on what to check before you buy covers the basics.

Reputation

The Better Business Bureau lists West Port Auto Center as not accredited and not rated, with no complaints closed in the last three years. We did not find enough review volume on other platforms to cite a star rating.
