Description
1965 Dodge Coronet 500 – Built 426 V8 – Hughes Race Transmission Sharp light blue Dodge Coronet 500 with a strong performance setup and plenty of recent upgrades. The 413 has been bored.030 over, making it approximately a 426 cubic-inch V8, topped with a brand-new Holley 750 carburetor on an Edelbrock intake. The engine has approximately 4,500 miles and features headers with a nice exhaust system that sounds great.
Power is handled by a brand-new Hughes race-built transmission with a 2,800 RPM Hughes stall converter. Additional upgrades include a large aluminum radiator, new interior, and Borgeson power steering that makes the car exceptionally easy to handle. It rides on brand-new Hankook tires and American Racing wheels.
This Coronet 500 is built to drive and enjoy. Needs nothing, ready to cruise.

Dodge Coronet Buyer's Guide (1965–1976)
People focus on the Charger and overlook the Coronet, which has kept prices more reasonable for longer than they should have stayed. The platform is identical — same frame, same suspension geometry, same engine bay that accepts everything from a 318 two-barrel to a 426 Hemi. The Super Bee was literally a Coronet with a performance package, and it was built that way because Dodge needed a budget muscle car to compete with the Plymouth Road Runner. That packaging decision created one of the best values in Mopar collecting. I've seen well-documented Super Bee Coronets sell for half what a comparable Charger would bring. That gap has been closing, but it's still real.
