Description
1946 Ford Super Deluxe — Driver with Clean Title 1946 Ford Super Deluxe that runs very well and is fully drivable. This is not a project that needs to be trailered—you can get in it and enjoy it now. Registration is current through February 2027, and the car is insured with Hagerty.
Recent work includes a new fuel tank, new fuel lines, and all new brakes. The engine was rebuilt years ago and continues to run strong. The car drives nicely and is a solid candidate to enjoy as-is or improve over time.
The stainless trim and body moldings are in great shape, and there are extra parts included in the trunk. Overall, the car presents well and has good bones. The seller had planned a body swap onto a Lincoln frame (a known swap that fits with minor modifications).
The Lincoln runs great and is already equipped with slotted disc brakes, making it a straightforward swap for someone experienced with builds. A solid, drivable classic with options—enjoy it now or take it in a custom direction. Great opportunity for a true car enthusiast or motorhead.

Ford Super Deluxe Buyer's Guide
Jim Vasquez here. People forget how strange the postwar Ford market was. Ford spent 1942–1945 building war materials and resumed civilian car production in mid-1945 with... the same design they'd frozen in 1942. The 1946–1948 Ford Super Deluxe was essentially a 1942 car with minor updates, and yet it was enormously popular. Americans were starved for new cars, the Super Deluxe was the best Ford offered, and the flathead V8 continued to deliver the performance that had made Ford's reputation.
For the custom car world, the 1941–1948 Super Deluxe is foundational material. The proportions are near-perfect for chopping and lowering, the flathead V8 is endlessly modifiable, and the cars were common enough that building supplies were readily available in the late 1940s and 1950s when the custom movement took off. Some of the most famous early customs were built on Super Deluxe foundations.
