Description
Price: US $14,160 (CAD $19,990 at the dealer).
1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V Coupe. Large and in charge! Finished in White with a burgundy Landau vinyl top, this car is still wearing its factory paint from 1977! A few minor chips here and there, but no corrosion and still in excellent shape! Bumpers, chrome and stainless are all still very nice as well. Lots of options and luxury items on this big sled.
The hide-away headlight system functions perfectly and even after sitting for more than a week, the vacuum system has held tight (vacuum holds the doors down – should vacuum be released, they pop open). Cornering lamps were optioned on this car along with a power sunroof, illuminated door key holes, and power antenna, all of which work. The oval side windows with embedded Lincoln crest are iconic! Factory wheels, hubcaps and tires have been updated to modern alloy wheels for a sportier look, but if you’re interested in original, let us know, as we’ve got connections to people with sets of original wheels for this car.
The vinyl top is in excellent condition, and only the trim around the top, and trim on the front bumper have a few minor chips. Moving inside you’ll find a fully loaded luxury interior in a burgundy and white color scheme. The massive front doors house both front and rear passenger ash trays and lighters as well as controls for the power windows, power locks, power driver’s seat and side mirror.
All the upholstery, trim and interior adornments are like factory new! The leather seats show only very minor wear, but there’s no rips or tears of any kind and they’re incredibly overstuffed and comfortable. The back seat doesn’t look like it’s had anybody sit in it. Carpets are in excellent shape and the factory original floor mats come along with it too.
The dashboard is crack free, with only some minor wear on the wood trim on the steering wheel near the cruise control buttons. The car is equipped with automatic climate control with A/C (needs a recharge) and an electric rear window defroster. The Cartier clock I still ticking but doesn’t keep time well.
Gauges are like jeweled instruments and very high class. The Quadraphonic 8-track player works and sounds great and there’s a huge selection of tapes that come with the car. The Stereo is also AM/FM with good sound quality.
The passenger seat features power adjustments as well. In the glove box lives the complete Owner’s manual package with original Identification card. The car was sold new in Edmonton to Jolly Angus Restaurants.
The trunk is still finished in its original carpeting and the compact spare tire has never been installed! The jack and tire iron are included as is a complete set of shop manuals for the car! Under the hood is Fords powerhouse (kidding) 460 4-bbl V8, dual exhaust, power steering and power disc brakes, and a 3-speed automatic transmission. A huge car, with big weight, so the 200 hp and 342 lb-ft of torque was adequate, but the car won’t be winning any races. The car shows 73,000 miles on the odometer and although it can’t be proven because there’s only 5 digits, the milage is likely accurate for the car based on age and condition.
With the exception of A/C needing a recharge, and the car needing a trip through our shop for fine tuning and mechanical checks, it’s all there and in great condition!

Classic Lincoln Continental Buyer's Guide
The Lincoln Continental is one of the few American automobiles that achieved genuine design immortality, not once but twice. The 1940–1948 original defined the American luxury car of its era; the 1961–1969 generation with its iconic reverse-opening rear doors defined it again for a generation that included heads of state and Hollywood royalty. Between those two high-water marks and after them, the Continental name carried Lincoln's flagship ambitions with varying degrees of success. Buying a Continental today requires knowing which generation you're actually after, they differ more than the shared nameplate suggests.
