Description
Price: US $14,160 (CAD $19,990 at the dealer).
1965 Plymouth Barracuda fastback. Nice little car in stock configuration with neat looks! Driver quality repaint on this one that would still be great for cruising or any cars and coffee event. After a recent polish, paint is looking pretty good.
Chrome and bright work are in decent shape and all there! 14” rally wheels with trim rings are stock. The iconic panoramic rear window is neat and one of the styling cues that makes this car so cool! The rear seat also folds down to allow long objects between the relatively small trunk and large rear seat space. The interior is again mostly stock apart from the addition of a newer Radio/Cd player.
Hard to tell if the upholstery has ever been replaced, but it’s all in good condition. The dash does have some typical cracks in it for a car this age. Some fading in certain spots on the carpets as well, but the car is clean.
Basic stock gauges in place with the addition of an aftermarket tach on the steering column and Sunpro temp, oil pressure and voltage hanging below the dash. Basic heater and Valian AM radio. Under the hood is a Commando 273 V8 with what looks like a new 4-bbl carburetor with electric choke on top.
It’s clearly had some mechanical attention, and the engine bay is clean. Behind that is a nice little 4-speed manual transmission with floor shifter! Manual drum brakes and manual steering, but it’s quite a small car, so it’s not noticeable. The trunk has a carpet mat and original jack, with spare tire stowed below.
Nice straight forward little car with good bones and easy to cruise around in! 12,000 miles on the odometer, but with only 5 digits, true milage is unknown. We assume it’s rolled over once, making it at least 112,000.

Classic Plymouth Barracuda Buyer's Guide
The Plymouth Barracuda has two very different lives in classic-car history. The 1964-1969 A-body cars were affordable economy fastbacks built on the Valiant platform, fun, but not legendary. The 1970-1974 E-body cars are an entirely different animal: purpose-built muscle cars sharing platform with the Dodge Challenger, available with everything from the slant-six to the legendary 426 Hemi. Today, documented original 1970-1971 Hemi 'Cudas and AAR 'Cudas trade for seven-figure money, while solid 1973-1974 cars remain the bargain entry into Mopar muscle ownership.
