Carolina Coach Crafters

Carolina Coach Crafters is a full-service restoration shop at 292 Rolling Hill Rd in Mooresville, North Carolina. It describes itself as focused on concours-level restoration of classic and exotic cars, with Porsche 911 and Speedster projects featured on its site. Before you contact any shop, what a classic car restoration costs is worth reading so the estimate does not come as a surprise.

Who they are

The shop does not publish a founding year or an owner biography on the pages we read. Third-party business profiles suggest 2014, but the figure is not confirmed by the shop, so no founding year is stated here. A reference on its home page to "50 Years of Turbo" relates to Porsche's anniversary, not the age of the company.

What they restore

The shop says it restores classic and exotic vehicles, rare collector cars and historic automobiles, and also takes on custom builds and design projects. Porsche is the marque most visible in its project galleries.

Work done in-house

The shop lists these disciplines as part of its offering:

• Precision metal shaping and fabrication, including hand-formed panels
• Body and paint
• Mechanical and electrical work
• Upholstery

It frames the target as concours-level restoration, meaning a return to factory-fresh condition judged against original specification.

Working with the shop

The site invites prospective clients to start through a contact form. We found no published information on estimates, billing method, deposits or progress reporting, so ask about these at the outset. Our guide to questions to ask a restoration shop suggests a checklist.

Reputation

We did not view a review page that we could confirm directly, so no rating is quoted, and we found no documented awards for the shop itself. Check recent client feedback and ask to see finished work.
