1956 Chevy 210 Post For Sale- Beautiful, Turn-Key Tri-Five
Offering the perfect blend of 1950s nostalgia and turn-key reliability, this 1956 Chevrolet 210 Post is a beautifully sorted classic. Meticulously cared for and always garage-kept by an older collector, this Chevy is built to be driven and enjoyed. It is an incredibly honest car where absolutely everything works as it should, promising zero disappointments for its next owner.
Under the hood sits a strong-running, highly reliable Chevrolet Straight-6 engine. It provides that ultra-smooth, torquey power delivery that these classic inline-sixes are famous for. To ensure it runs cool and comfortably in modern stop-and-go traffic or at summer cruise nights, an electric cooling fan has been cleanly integrated.
Power is shifted exactly the way it was back in '56-via a classic 3-speed manual transmission mounted on the column (the iconic "three on the tree"). This Chevy runs and drives fantastic. The 1956 model year is famous for its elegant, sweeping side trim and aggressive grille, and this 210 Post showcases those lines perfectly.
Thanks to a lifetime of careful, climate-controlled garage storage, the body is incredibly solid with absolutely no rust. The paint is in very nice condition, boasting a deep, brilliant shine. All the factory chrome and stainless brightwork are beautifully preserved, giving the car a fantastic presence.
Sitting cleanly on its factory steel wheels with original Chevrolet "dog dish" hubcaps, it has a perfect, unpretentious, period-correct stance. The cabin is wonderfully authentic and ready for weekend cruising. Up front, the classic bench seat is in great shape and has been upgraded with seatbelts for added safety.
The dash is a beautiful piece of mid-century design, featuring the original AM radio. To keep an accurate eye on engine vitals, a period-correct Sun temperature gauge has been cleanly added below the dash. Out back, the trunk compartment is properly finished and detailed, complete with a clean trunk mat, the spare tire, and the factory jack assembly.
Finding a solid, honest, and beautifully maintained 1956 Chevrolet 210 that hasn't been heavily modified is a rare treat. With its rust-free body, smooth-running six-cylinder, classic manual transmission, and gorgeous aesthetic, it is the perfect weekend time machine. Runs Fantastic, Everything Works and No Disappointments

Classic Chevrolet 210 Buyer's Guide (1953–1957)
Everyone knows the Bel Air. Not everyone knows that for most of the Tri-Five era, you could get the exact same body, the same Small Block V8, and the same chassis for several hundred dollars less — in the 210. It was Chevrolet's volume seller: less chrome on the outside, similar substance underneath. Today that same dynamic plays out in the collector market, where a solid 210 still costs 20–35% less than a comparable Bel Air. I've been building and driving Tri-Fives for thirty years, and I'll tell you straight: the 210 is where the smart money goes if you actually want to use your car.
