AB Classics

AB Classics, which does business legally as AnB Classic LLC, is a classic car dealer on State Route 11 in Malone, New York, in the state's North Country. It buys and sells classic, muscle and sports cars and describes itself with the line "Where Classic Cars Find New Homes." The company says it has been buying and selling classic vehicles for more than 30 years and has sold over 1,200 of them.

History and background

The Better Business Bureau lists AnB Classic LLC as a business that started on June 1, 2004. A local newspaper report on an open house marking 20 years at the Route 11 site says the dealership had earlier operated west of Malone before moving to its present location east of the village. The same report says the owner has worked in classic cars for about 30 years in total and has sold cars to buyers in countries including Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Australia, Dubai and Hungary. The owner is not named here because the dealer's own site could not be opened during research.

How the business works

AB Classics is primarily a dealer that buys vehicles and resells them from its own stock. Its site also says it can help owners sell a single car or a whole collection, and lists consignment, appraisal, transport, restoration and auction services. Specific terms, fees and timelines for those services were not available, so anyone interested should ask for them in writing before handing over a car.

What AB Classics sells

Directory listings show roughly 40 to 50 vehicles at a time, with asking prices starting at $1,950. The mix is broad and leans American: muscle cars, Corvettes, Mustangs, Pontiac GTOs, Dodge Chargers, pickups and the occasional hot rod. Listings seen during research included a 1965 Pontiac GTO, a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440, a 1956 Corvette, a 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 and a customized 1938 Dodge van. Some European cars such as Porsche and BMW also appear, and model years run from the 1930s into the 2010s. Inventory changes constantly, so check the current listings rather than relying on any single example.

Buying from AB Classics

The dealer says it arranges transport worldwide and offers financing through a loan application. One marketplace profile also says vehicle history reports are provided with its listings. Because many buyers live far from Malone, it helps to understand the usual steps when buying from a classic car dealer: ask for the VIN and title status, request extra photos or a walk-around video, and arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection before sending money.

Reputation

AnB Classic LLC is not BBB accredited, and the BBB has not assigned a rating because it says it lacks enough information. Its BBB profile shows no complaints closed in the last three years and no customer reviews on file. On Birdeye, an unclaimed profile shows 4.5 stars drawn from 34 Google reviews. Reviews of any dealer vary, so read recent ones for the type of car and buyer location that matches your own situation.
