Central Kentucky Classic Cars

Central Kentucky Classic Cars is a family-run classic car dealership at 4121 Lexington Rd in Paris, Kentucky, in Bourbon County just northeast of Lexington. The Better Business Bureau lists a business start date of July 1, 1971, and the company says it has more than 40 years of automobile experience. Its stated focus is classic cars, muscle cars, classic trucks and street rods.

Who runs it

The BBB profile names Greg Dotson as president, David Dotson as vice president and Rodney Dotson as owner and business manager. Customer testimonials on the dealer's own site also name Wesley Dotson in sales. The company describes its approach as helping buyers through every phase of the purchase so the transaction is transparent. Its tagline is "Keep History Rolling."

How the business works

This is a conventional dealer lot. The cars are in stock at the Paris location and carry posted asking prices, with a few listed as "call for price." It is not a consignment house. Its website has pages for financing, a "Sell Your Car" section and a sold archive, but the details of those services were not confirmed for this profile, so ask the dealer directly what it offers on trades or purchases of your car.

What it sells

The inventory leans toward American muscle and 1950s to 1970s Chevrolet. A snapshot of the dealer's site from spring 2025 showed a 1970 Dodge Challenger, a 1971 Camaro RS Z-28, a 1969 Camaro SS, a 1968 Camaro RS SS, a 1969 Oldsmobile 442, a 1968 Ford Mustang, a 1957 Bel Air, a 1956 Chevrolet 210 and a 1953 Chevrolet 3100 pickup. Listed prices on those cars ran from the mid $20,000s to just under $90,000. The lot also carried some newer vehicles that are not classics, so check the model year before you plan a trip. Stock changes constantly, and a past snapshot is not a current list.

Buying from the dealer

Testimonials on the company's site, which are its own marketing and not independent reviews, describe buyers who purchased from out of state and had cars delivered. As with any dealer purchase, the usual steps apply: confirm the title and VIN, ask for detailed photos, and arrange an independent inspection before you pay. Our guide to buying from a classic car dealer walks through what to ask and what to check.

Reputation

The BBB lists Central Kentucky Classic Cars as not accredited and not rated, with no customer reviews posted there. That is a thin public record rather than a good or bad one. The dealer also lists cars on third-party classic car marketplaces, and the testimonials on its own site are positive but chosen by the business. Judge a specific car on its paperwork and inspection results.

The showroom address is 4121 Lexington Rd, Paris, KY 40361, and the company's site gives 859-621-5572 as its phone number.
