Dave Brown Classic Rides

Dave Brown Classic Rides is a classic car dealer at 102 Schiller Street in Guttenberg, Iowa, a Mississippi River town in Clayton County. Iowa business records list Dave Brown Classic Rides, LLC as an Iowa limited liability company. Dave Brown says he has been in the automobile business for more than 55 years, and describes his work as restoring classic American automobiles to their original look.

How the business works

This is a dealer selling from its own stock. The company says it buys classic collector cars both locally and nationally and then offers them for sale, with shipping available worldwide. It does not present itself as a consignment business. Dave Brown also runs a YouTube channel for the business, which suggests a hands-on, owner-led operation rather than a large sales staff.

What it sells

Marketplace listings show classic American cars and trucks, muscle cars and hot rods, including Ford Mustangs and Torinos, Corvettes and Camaros. Listings seen on AllCollectorCars and Carsforsale have included cars priced from about $10,500, so the stock reaches driver-level classics as well as higher-end restored cars. The number of cars changes from week to week, and we saw roughly 29 listings at one point.

Buying from Dave Brown

The company says it ships worldwide, but we could not confirm details on financing, trade-ins or deposits, so ask about those before you commit. Shipping a car you have not seen raises the stakes, and the questions in our dealer buying guide apply: confirm the title, ask for extra photos or a walk-around video, and arrange an independent inspection when you cannot visit. Get the agreed price, condition notes and delivery terms in writing.

Reputation

We did not find a BBB profile or enough reviews on any one platform to quote a rating. The business appears on several marketplaces, including AllCollectorCars, OldCar, AutaBuy and Carsforsale, and on Yelp. The owner's 55-year claim is his own and we could not independently date it, so it is best read as a personal track record rather than a company age. Ask for references from earlier buyers if you are considering a long-distance purchase.

Visiting Dave Brown Classic Rides

The business is at 102 Schiller Street, Guttenberg, Iowa 52052. The phone number on its site is (563) 880-0578, and the owner invites visits and calls. Because hours are not published in what we could see, call first. Guttenberg is a long way from the state's larger cities, so it helps to compare classic cars for sale around the state before planning the drive.
