Hanksters Hot Rods is the original showroom of a dealer run by Gary Hankinson, known as "Hankster," who says he has spent 39 years building, restoring and selling hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars and motorcycles. It sits on Route 119 in Homer City, Indiana County, in western Pennsylvania. According to the company, the indoor showroom keeps about 65 cars on display, and the building also houses a service department, a body shop and a small gift shop. Hanksters buys most of its cars from private owners and collections, so much of the stock is its own, although it also takes consignments. The company advertises a satisfaction guarantee, a classic car warranty and free shipping, so ask for the written terms of each. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Saturday by appointment.
