Description

1977 MG Midget I've owned this car for ~4 months and only driven it for joyrides to the beach. When I first bought it, I had it freshly registered, smogged, and inspected by the British Sports Cars mechanics. What's new from the previous owner: - Exhaust system - Belts - Hoses - Thermostat - Temp. sensor - Water pump gaskets - Trunk seal - Headrest covers - Wheel accent rings My new contributions: - Ignition coil (car idles smoothly @ 8.5k rpm) - Wiper blades - Clutch master cylinder (& freshly bled clutch line) - Newly registered & smogged (smogged = tuned carb) - Wheel alignment - Front right shock absorber mount repaired What's included: - All paper documents of the car's history since ~2000 - Hard-top - Convertible soft-top - Tonneau cover (open-top seat cover) - Brown leather suitcase that buckles onto the rear luggage rack - Box of small misc. spare parts - 1 qt. of unopened Valvoline High Zinc 20W-50 oil (the most recommended oil for the car)(I meant to do a compression test but didn't get around to it) - Spare grill - Tune-up guide book - Driver's handbook - Moss Motors magazine parts list I love this little car, but I learned the hard way that I can't work on a car if I don't have a garage (I live in an apartment, so it lives on the street).

With that being said, I have a list of things I've wanted to work on: - Heater/defogger doesn't work (likely a broken fan) - Old e-brake pads (they still work, but aren't strong) - Loose middle wiper pivot (the car has 3 wipers, but this middle wiper makes partial contact; simply tighten it from the inside) - Broken cigarette lighter - Window washers don't work (likely a dead motor) - No radio antenna = no radio (I covered the antenna hole with a black rubber plug) - No door keys (need to take the car to a locksmith) I've owned this car for ~4 months and only driven it for joyrides to the beach. When I first bought it, I had it freshly registered, smogged, and inspected by the British Sports Cars mechanics.
