Mustang Restorations Inc

Mustang Restorations Inc. is a family-owned shop in East Dundee, Illinois, that works on vintage Ford Mustangs. It describes its core work as rotisserie frame-off restorations, rust repair, body work, paint and engine building and rebuilding. It is owned by Chris "The Doc" Ingrassia, according to the shop's website.

History and people

The site says the business has been family-owned since 1980, which makes it close to 50 years old by its own count. Ingrassia leads the operation. The site also introduces twin brothers Cody and Preston, billed as "The Mustang Brothers," who it says have worked alongside him for about 20 years.

What it restores

The shop is a Mustang specialist, and everything it advertises is tied to that car. The work ranges from partial repairs and mechanical fixes to complete restorations of classic Mustangs. It also lists convertible tops, interiors and pre-purchase inspections.

Work done in-house

The shop says it handles body and paint work, mechanical systems, fuel systems, electrical work and transmission rebuilding itself. Rotisserie restoration, where the body is mounted on a rotating frame so it can be repaired and coated from every angle, is the method it highlights for full restorations. We found no published list of award-winning cars or a named gallery of finished projects that we could verify.

Working with the shop

The site does not publish pricing terms, deposit policy or a project timeline. Because Mustang work is often long and parts dependent, it is sensible to ask for a written scope and an estimate range before delivery. The guide on picking the right shop covers what to request.

Reputation

A Birdeye page we opened shows a 4.8 star rating from 142 reviews gathered across platforms including Google and Facebook. The profile on that page is unclaimed by the business. Reviewers there mention the owner's depth of Mustang knowledge and the quality of the finished work. An aggregate rating is only a starting point, so read the individual reviews and ask for references.
