History
Gary Meadors founded Goodguys in Pleasanton in 1983, initially as a small gathering of street rod enthusiasts in Northern California. The event grew steadily through the 1980s and 1990s, and by 2000 Goodguys had become the country's largest street rod organization by membership. The Pleasanton show now draws 125,000+ attendees over three days β a remarkable turnout for a genre event in a suburban fairgrounds.
