Goodguys West Coast Nationals

The Goodguys West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, California is the largest street rod and custom car show on the West Coast and one of the top five largest classic car events in the United States. Founded by Gary Meadors in 1983, Goodguys has grown into the premier organization for American hot rods, customs, and muscle cars — running 65+ events per year nationwide, with Pleasanton as the West Coast flagship. The show features 3,500+ vehicles, a massive swap meet, and the Goodguys Manufacturer's Midway, where the aftermarket industry shows its best products.

History

Gary Meadors founded Goodguys in Pleasanton in 1983, initially as a small gathering of street rod enthusiasts in Northern California. The event grew steadily through the 1980s and 1990s, and by 2000 Goodguys had become the country's largest street rod organization by membership. The Pleasanton show now draws 125,000+ attendees over three days — a remarkable turnout for a genre event in a suburban fairgrounds.
