Who they are

Directory listings describe Carolina Muscle Cars as a full service classic car dealer covering the buying, selling, restoration and service of classic, muscle, exotic and sport cars. The company's own website does not publish an owner name or a founding year, so none is stated here. It says it has a worldwide customer base.

What they sell

Muscle cars are the focus, but the stock is broader than the name suggests. Recent marketplace listings showed vintage Corvettes and Jaguars alongside newer performance cars such as Dodge Challengers and a Porsche. The inventory is small, typically under a dozen cars at a time, and the website keeps a Previously Sold page that shows examples such as a 1939 Packard Super 8 and a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette. Check the current inventory for what is available.

Buying from Carolina Muscle Cars

Cars are sold from the dealer's own stock. Buyers can use the contact form or phone number on the site, and some cars are also offered through Bring a Trailer, which the site links to. For any purchase, ask for the VIN, title status and a detailed condition report, and consider an independent inspection, especially if you are not seeing the car in person. Ask also whether a car has a documented ownership history and any restoration records.

Selling or consigning

The dealer publishes a fairly detailed seller page. It says it offers consignment for vehicles that fit its profile and marketing plan, with an agreement customized to the car and to the net amount the owner wants, and that it needs at least six months to build a marketing plan. Per the company, a car goes through a multi-point inspection, gets a professional photo shoot, and is then listed, and in some cases the dealer may offer to buy the car outright. It also says it will consider entire collections and can provide mechanical evaluation and detailing. These are the dealer's own statements, and fees are not published. See selling a classic on consignment for the questions worth asking.

Reputation

The review platform Birdeye showed a rating of about 4.7 stars from roughly 100 reviews when we checked, while another snapshot showed 4.8. Treat those figures as approximate and check the current numbers yourself. As with any dealer, the car, the paperwork and any inspection report matter more than a rating.
