HotRod Collection

HotRod Collection is a collector car dealer based in Roanoke, Texas, north of Fort Worth. The company operates as Grandpa's Hotrod Garage, LLC, doing business as HotRod Collection, and describes its stock as investment-grade classics, hot rods, exotics and muscle cars, hand-picked by enthusiasts. It also lists locations in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Sarasota, Florida. The company says its team has more than 100 years of combined experience, though it does not publish a founding year or the names of its owners.

How the business works

HotRod Collection sells cars it owns. The company says every vehicle is fully owned by the business and that it buys directly, with no auctions or middlemen. Consignment is not mentioned on its site, so shoppers should assume they are buying from dealer stock. A first-time buyer may find our guide to how to buy a classic car useful before visiting.

What it sells

Prewar Fords and hot rods are a visible strength. A recent dealer page on ClassicCars.com listed eight cars, including a 1932 Ford Victoria, a 1934 Ford roadster, a 1936 Ford, a 1940 Ford convertible, a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, a 1962 Pontiac Bonneville, a 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 1971 Chevrolet Corvette. Asking prices on that page ran from about $40,000 to about $180,000. Stock changes often, so those cars are an example of the mix, not a current inventory.

Buying and selling with HotRod Collection

The company says it offers financing and shipping for buyers. On the selling side, it says it buys cars outright, will purchase entire collections as a single transaction, and can make cash offers within 48 hours. Those are the dealer's own claims, so owners considering a sale should get any offer in writing and compare it with other bids. For buyers, an independent inspection before shipping a car across the country remains sensible, particularly on custom-built hot rods, where build quality varies widely.

Reputation

We could not find a Better Business Bureau profile for the business, and we are not citing review scores because we could not confirm a review count on any platform. HotRod Collection is listed as a Priority Seller on ClassicCars.com. Ask for the title status, build documentation and service records on any car, and confirm details in writing.
