Special Interest Auto Sales LLC

Special Interest Auto Sales LLC is a family-owned classic and muscle car dealer at 3720 Symmes Road in Hamilton, Ohio. The company describes itself as "specializing in affordable investment quality classics, muscle cars and vehicles of special interest," and it is a member of the Ohio Independent Automobile Dealers Association.

Who they are

The business says it is family owned and operated and that its vehicles are "hand picked with years of experience and knowledge in what is important to buyers." The pages we could read do not give a founding year or name the owners, so we are not listing either. Its website is organized around cars for sale, parts for sale, a gallery of past cars and a page on where to find the lot, so the company appears to sell auto parts as well as vehicles.

A note on the address

Some directories, including the ClassicCars.com dealer directory, list this business in Fairfield, Ohio. The company's own contact page, the Ohio dealers association listing and the inventory location shown on ClassicCars.com all give Hamilton, and the Hamilton address is the one used on this page. If you are planning a visit, confirm the address by phone first, since older directory entries may still circulate.

How the business works

Special Interest Auto Sales sells cars it owns. We found nothing indicating that it takes consignments. That means the dealer chooses, prepares and prices what is on the lot, and a buyer is dealing directly with the seller of record. Our guide to what to check before you buy lists the paperwork and condition questions worth settling with any dealer, including this one.

What it sells

The company says it favors classics and muscle cars, and its stock includes American cars from several decades, Corvettes and trucks. A recent ClassicCars.com snapshot of its listings included a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria Skyliner, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, a 1940 Ford Deluxe roadster, a 1966 Dodge Dart GT convertible, Corvettes from 1993 and 2002, and Chevrolet Silverado pickups from 1987 and 1997. Other listings have included Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, C10 pickups, Thunderbirds and Impalas. Stock changes, so use these as examples only. Prices in that snapshot ran from the mid teens into the high fifties, in thousands of dollars.

Buying and reputation

We could not find published information on financing, shipping, trade-ins, inspections or warranty terms, so ask about each in writing before you commit. We also did not find a BBB rating or a Google or Yelp review score that we could read directly, so we are not quoting any. Dealer association membership is a point in the company's favor, but it is not a guarantee about any single car. Get the VIN and title status, ask for service history and consider an independent inspection.
