Description
1964 1/2 Ford Mustang coupe. 289 Automatic Titled as a 65 but one of the first Mustangs off the assembly line in mid 1964. Original D code car so semi rare in the sense that there's simply not as many of these first year 64.5 originals that came with stock 289 V8 & 4-barrel Carburetor. (Freshly tuned) Ready to ride and in fine overall condition but not perfect. You can see the paint chipped off the hood in the pics so the paint will need attending to along with brakes and other minor updates.
The interior is upgraded and in great shape. Also has new tires, fuel tank & battery among other upgrades. This car is solid and looks, starts, runs & drives good. At this price it's an amazing investment especially if you put a little TLC work into it.
This first-year American classic is not only going to hold it's value but increase value as time goes by. But as it sits, she's already a great fun daily driver to show off around town and at the local car meets. Classic Ford Mustang Buyer's Guide
The Ford Mustang launched on April 17, 1964 and sold a million units faster than any car in American history. Sixty years later, the first-generation Mustang (1964½-1973) remains the cornerstone of the classic car hobby — the gateway car for new collectors, the trophy car for veteran enthusiasts, and the most cloned, faked, and re-stamped muscle car on the market. Whether you're hunting a base inline-six coupe or a documented Boss 429, knowing what separates the real cars from the tribute builds is the difference between an investment and a money pit.
