Description
1960 Willys Jeep pickup is powered by a 226ci Super Hurricane inline-six linked to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Previous owner stated that the engine had been rebuilt around 2019 and also replacement of the water pump, oil pump, ignition coil, spark plugs, wheel bearings, suspension shackles, and battery. The current owner just had $11,000 in service completed that included: - A minor overhaul of the transmission and transfer case - Flywheel Service - New Clutch - Stabilizer Shocks - New Speedo Cable - Replacement of E Brake Cables - Rebuilt Drag Link - Bell Arm Replacement - ALL gaskets replaced and sealed - New ignition switch - Install Voltage Regulator - Replacement of the Rear Main Seal The truck was repainted white in 2005, and equipment includes a front brush guard, a side-mounted spare wheel and tire, a spring-loaded antenna, vent windows, and black-painted bumpers as well as a black vinyl bench seat, a driver-side sun visor, a centrally-mounted rearview mirror, and a glovebox-mounted AM/FM/cassette stereo.
This Willys pickup is now offered in Massachusetts with an owner's manual and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller's name that lists it as a 1962 model. The bench seat is upholstered in black vinyl that is complemented by gray door panels, black rubber flooring, and a body-color steel dashboard. Additional equipment includes a driver-side sun visor, a cabin fresh-air vent, a dome light, floor-mounted shifter and transfer case selectors, and a glovebox-mounted Alpine AM/FM/cassette stereo.
The truck has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system. The two-spoke steering wheel features a Willys center emblem and sits ahead of centrally mounted instrumentation including a 90-mph speedometer and aftermarket auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 70k miles, almost no miles were added under current ownership.
Total mileage is unknown. The 226ci Super Hurricane L-head inline-6

Willys Jeep Buyer's Guide (1941–1971)
I grew up around a CJ-3B on my grandfather's ranch in East Texas. He bought it new in 1955 and used it every day until 1989 when the transfer case finally gave out — at which point he just put it in the barn and said it needed work. I pulled it out after he passed and drove it home with a rebuilt T-90 transmission and a set of new tires. That's the Willys Jeep story: they don't wear out, they just need attention every few decades. Find one without serious rust and you've got a vehicle that will outlast you.
