American Muscle Car Factory

American Muscle Car Factory is a classic car restoration shop at 8508 Urbana Ave in Lubbock, Texas. On its own site and in third-party business listings it is described as in business since 1982, with a focus on classic and American muscle cars. The Better Business Bureau lists the owner as Roy Gibbs and shows a 1983 start date, so the exact founding year differs by source.

Who they are

The shop says its team has well over 75 years of combined experience and that it restores all makes and models, with the emphasis on classics and muscle cars. Its listings also mention collision repair and buying, selling and trading cars. The BBB profile shows an A+ rating, is not accredited, and has no customer reviews on file, so there is no customer rating to quote.

What they restore

The shop describes work on classic and vintage vehicles generally, from restorations that keep a car authentic to customized builds. Muscle cars are the specialty it names most often. It does not publish a marque list or a gallery of dated, named projects, so specific cars cannot be cited here.

The work done in house

According to the shop, its services include:

• Complete frame-off restoration and bare metal rebuilds
• Paint, including classic color matching and custom finishes
• Bodywork
• Upholstery in fabric and leather
• Mechanical work and customization

Because the shop lists bodywork, paint, upholstery and mechanical work together, a full project can in principle stay with one team. Anyone planning a build should read how to choose a restoration shop and ask to see work in progress before signing anything.

Working with the shop

The shop says it keeps clients informed during a project with photos of progress. It does not publish how it prices work, whether it quotes fixed price or time and materials, or what deposit it asks for, so those are questions to put to the shop directly.

Awards and reputation

No awards or concours results are published by the shop or found in credible third-party coverage. The A+ BBB rating is the only independent signal seen, and with no reviews on file it says little about customer experience.

Visiting and contact

The shop lists its address as 8508 Urbana Ave (some listings add Suite A), Lubbock, TX 79424, and its phone number as (806) 791-4073. Its website gives hours of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, closed on weekends. Confirm by phone before visiting. Classic Cars Arena has no partnership with this shop, and this profile is an independent summary of published information.
