According to the shop's own site and an interview in Voyage Houston, Tim Meaux founded the business in 2005. The shop says he wanted to raise the standard for restoration shops in the Houston area. Tim Meaux died in 2009, and his son Blake Meaux took over and now runs the operation. The shop marked its 20th anniversary in a post on its own blog.
